Social Worker
Our School Social Workers are here to support students' wellbeing and help them feel safe, supported and ready to learn. They work closely with students, families and school staff to provide practical support and guidance during challenging times.
How the Social Worker can help:
Supporting students
The Social Worker provides one on one support for students who may be experiencing worries, stress or other challenges. They listen and assess students needs. Then help students develop coping strategies and encourage positive connections, inclusion and student voice within the school.
Working with families
Families and carers can work alongside the Social Worker to access support, referrals and useful services. The social Worker helps strengthen communication between home and school and connects families with the right supports to promote student wellbeing.
Supporting the whole school community
The Social Worker also supports the wider school community by contributing to school and community activities that promote positive mental health, wellbeing and social skills for students and their families.
