HLC Open Day
Friday May 26 was the Helensvale Learning Centre open day and it was a great event. Local schools, members of the Region re-engagement team, parents, students and HLC were able to come together to re-engage a lot of our local youth that need an alternative pathway. We had 78 people attend and book enrolment interviews. This is a celebration of young people wanting to take an active role in their education and together we create a local village of support for these amazing young humans. Students were able to meet with the Head of Campus Jo Coppola, the Dean of Students Vasi Danbury, the Guidance Officer Garry King and the newest addition to the team, our Social worker James Harmon. It was an opportunity for them to ask questions and find out how we are Same Same and different.
