Last Monday, Science in Practice students completed an experiment and made lip balm. The students were investigating properties that go into a product. They made vanilla, chocolate or eucalyptus lip balms with ingredients including beeswax, coconut oil, choc bits, vanilla extract and oil based flavouring. Students followed a set method using step by step instructions and produced the products which then were placed in the fridge to set overnight.
The end product proved to be a very hydrating and moisturizing product as tested by students and staff at VLC.
