It is no secret that a motivated teacher is crucial to a successful classroom. But what motivates our SERLC students? What does “Success” mean to them?
To better understand our students at SERLC we have introduced the #WHYSTARTS initiative.
We will be looking at our student’s individual purpose and motivation to move forward and take this opportunity to engage with their education.
At enrolment, our campus management staff will be asking each student what “Success” means to them and recording this on their student learning profile. This information will be utilised by our staff to better understand the students in their classroom.
If staff know the student’s purpose, they can individualise support, communicate more efficiently, maintain positive relationships and increase students’ sense of belonging. All key factors in contributing to their success.
At SERLC we are committed to knowing our students, individualising our programs and celebrating our student’s success. The #whystarts initiative is designed to promote a partnership between the student and SERLC to ensure their individual idea of success is attainable.
We look forward to sharing #whystarts stories and inspiration via our Facebook page.
