Formula Student

26th of October started off bright and early with a 6am roll call. It may have been an early start but this day had been coming for 10 months. Countless hours of sweat, scarred knuckles and meticulous engineering had gone into producing what could only be described as gorgeous examples of specialized motor vehicles. The two cars sat proudly amongst the other 13 cars at Lakeside race track and the smiles from not only our students and staff but also from the other 9 schools involved was constant.

It was a great day with one of our cars having an electrical gremlin an hour in to the race but the second car (which can I say was built in 6 weeks where most schools took 2 years) ran all day without a worry from 9am to 4pm only stopping for a driver change and refuelling.

A huge thanks to our engineering teacher Chris who certainly went the extra mile to make the cars spectacular.
Bring on 2019 with bigger and better plans.
